2001 made the commencement of the ‘Bahumukhi Gramannayan Samity’ which is actually ‘Multi-faceted Rural Development Society’. It is during this year that stamped the concern as a govt. registered organization. 
 
But behind its successful inauguration one needs to go through its secret story which is the tale of the ‘formation of this voluntary institution’. In the past time, all members of this organization used to serve the society in individual capacity that got driven by humanitarian feelings. Later, prompted by their sincere willpower these mobs gradually chanced upon each other and considered creating BGS.
 
After the introduction of the, can be called, ‘civilization’, in the year 2002 – 2003, its members started considering several social problems, which instigated them in answering questions to the missing of a baby girl from the Sunderban’s Gosaba block. That is when it struck on the head for BGS. And at the time of saving the girl from Mumbai, the Rescue Team of the society found many such girls, who remained long lost, in brothels. And it was then, the society decided, beside other social works they would take up the responsibility of standing against the practice of girls-children trafficking and rescue the helpless.
 
This endowed the society an opportunity to put a guard against many such women. And such has brought prominence in the wide spread name of ‘BGS’ and provided a strand of fame not within the soil of West Bengal, but in front of the whole world. 
 
BGS also stands responsible for running several:
 
  • Public health service 
  • Organizing Hepatitis-B testing 
  • Distributing jerseys to those football clubs who are economically backward with a view 
  • Organize blood donation camps
  • Eye-checking camps 
  • Runs old-age home
  • One 40-bedded home for poor and helpless children
 
Jersey distribution gets continued with the sole view of uplifting the almost dying art of football in comparison to cricket.
 
How about going for a ‘Deeper Dig’ to BGS?
 
As the name implies ‘Bahumukhi Gramannayan Samity’ the success of the society remains in ‘solving the multi-faceted problems of the society’. Alongside with its manifold aids, one really significant important goal of the institute is to stop children-women trafficking and rescue the victims. As because, if – man makes man a commodity – this height of vile cannot be changed then how can other kinds of developments travel in their usual pace? They cannot. And that’s why it makes BGS think all the more about the inevitability of standing in protest against the children-women trafficking.

A significant line of conclusion about the organization ‘BGS’ includes “Every members of the society, even by putting their lives in danger, stand by the side of the victims”. And this truth gets confirmed when one dives into their pool of solution and comes up with the trophy of their compassionate humanitarian behavior.
